Job title: Therapeutic Communities Administrator

Location:  HMP Dovegate, Uttoxeter

Salary:  £20,808 per annum, plus Serco benefits

Working hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

 

Here in the Serco recruitment team, we’re responsible for hiring people that deliver essential public services in Defence, Transport, Justice & Immigration, Citizen Services and Healthcare.

 

As the Therapeutic Communities Administrator you will collate data for reports, therapy governance meetings and Audits. You will maintain the diaries of the Clinical Lead and Community Staff Team. You will make travel arrangements for staff as required. You will manage all aspects of the Community Case Conferences, Therapy Reviews, and End of Therapy Boards, including recording of processes in line with Audit Requirements. You will ensure reminders are sent regarding the completion of Reports, ensuring the Reports are completed in line with contract requirements.

 

You will be also required to plan and organise meetings ensuring all preparations are complete beforehand. You will prepare any presentations required by the Clinical Lead and Community Team. You will manage and review filing and office systems regularly. You will ensure all Serco Essentials are completed, and any mandatory training is in date.

 

You will work alongside the Community Clinical Leads supporting them in the delivery of therapy so you should have a working knowledge of the Therapeutic (Core Model) management manuals. Lastly, you must work effectively as a team member and support colleagues when required using the team meetings to communicate.

What you need to do the job

You must have GCSE standard education in English and Mathematics (C or above). You should have strong administration background. Proven managerial and operational abilities in a therapeutic setting would benefit this role. You should have the ability to work on own initiative.

 

IT literacy is one of the most important aspects of your role.  Advanced levels in Word for Windows and Microsoft PowerPoint with at least an intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Excel will be required to enable you to complete your role competently. 

You will have good communications skills both written and oral and be capable of producing written work of a standard that can be used in communication with key stakeholders such as parole boards, Offender Management unit, therapy boards and re-categorisation boards. 

You need to develop good working relationships with residents, community team, TC management team and external visitors such as Community of Communities keeping them informed as and when required.
