That's why we support fair access to employment for those with unspent criminal convictions through our 'Ban the Box' pledge and a Guaranteed Interview Scheme (though some may be exempt due to the nature of the role and the security clearance required).

As a signatory to the UK Government’s Women in Defence Charter, Serco is committed to improving gender balance within our Defence business and supporting the wider Defence enterprise in harnessing the power of a diverse and inclusive workforce. By signing the Charter, we pledge to drive inclusion and diversity, providing fair opportunities for women to succeed at all levels. The Charter’s ambition is to achieve 30% female representation at all levels across the Defence sector by 2030. Currently, 18% of colleagues within our Defence business are women, and we are actively working towards making these goals a reality.
