Hours: 40 per week

Salary: £25,000-£27,000 depending upon skills/experience


Serco have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join their successful and friendly Environmental Services team in Romford.


The new Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day management of around 30 blue collar staff members, working together to ensure Contract KPIs are met.


Our Environmental Services team provide a vital refuse collection service to the local community and as such, our new Supervisor should be dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction, and have the ability to motivate and lead a team.


The role will involve taking calls relating to refuse and taking action accordingly, liaising with clients, supervisors and managers, both internal and external, ensuring Health and Safety and Environmental standards are met, the deployment, utilisation and motivation of staff, acting as first point of contact for the client and troubleshooting any issues that may arise, along with other ad hoc duties to support the Contract Manager.


A background in Environmental Services would be an advantage, however, we are happy to hear from candidates with blue collar supervisory experience within a similar sized team from all industries.


You should be proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Exel, be highly organised and confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
