Admin Support Officer (Public Protection Unit) – HMP & YOI Doncaster

Salary: £17,110

Full-time Permanent, 40 hrs p/w

 

The Job Opportunity:

 

Identifying all individuals who are charged with offences against the public. All child offenders regardless of sentence statues. All harassment charges.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • The following duties are provided as a general guide in relation to the requirements and objectives of this position.
  • To identify monitor and manage all offenders who fail into the public protection criteria 
  • Telephone and mail monitoring written logs for both
  • Paperwork post identification
  • Identification of offences – warrants and documents
  • Clearance of telephone use
  • Child application process
  • Communicating with external agencies daily.
  • Working with outside agencies helping to manage all identified offender’s pre-release and share any information that could change a person’s risk factors.
  • Specific performance requirements and expectations will be agreed in an annual performance agreement.
  • This person may also be required to undertake any other activities as required of this position.

 

What we are looking for in our candidates:

 

  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook must be to a very good standard.
  • Have a demonstrable knowledge of prison and prisoner issues.
  • Experience of working in a custodial environment.
  • Full training will be given to the successful candidate and full access to the public protection data base and home office guidelines
