RAF Croughton, NN13 5XP

Full time, 39 hours

Here at Serco RAF Croughton we are a diverse contract with over 50 staff split across 3 sites and covering a range logistic, admin and Maintenance services. This exciting opportunity will allow you to join an established contract where you will be providing vital services on a daily basis to the United States Armed Forces. The Warehouse Operative Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery, installation and collection of United States Air Force household furniture and appliances to various destinations of residence across the UK. In addition to the upkeep and completion of warehouse tasks. This is a varied role that involves duties such as; Safe loading of the vehicles in a manner to cause no damage to any items or vehicles, with proper weight distribution. You will deliver furniture into servicemen’s homes and position the items as desired by the customer, install, test and demonstrate white goods in customers’ homes, the role will also require you to carry out warehouse duties to include cleaning and testing of white goods and furniture, stock inventory and general cleaning duties. You will be responsible for the safe custody of Customer and Serco owned tools, equipment, appliances and furniture in your charge. You should carry out any other contractual duties as required by the FMS Supervisor or Site Manager.

What you need to do the job:

 

The successful candidate must be able to communicate with customers in a polite manner and work successfully as part of a team. This role can involve is physically demanding and will involve lifting heavy items.
