As a Spacecraft Operations Engineer, you will play a vital role in the planning, execution, and monitoring of spacecraft operations for various missions. You will work closely with experienced engineers and operations teams to ensure the successful operation of spacecraft and the achievement of mission objectives.

Key Accountabilities
- Spacecraft Operations Planning: Contribute to the planning and scheduling of spacecraft operations activities, including mission timelines, payload operations, and ground station scheduling. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Command and Control: Assist in the commanding and monitoring of spacecraft, ensuring proper configuration, telemetry reception, and health monitoring. Collaborate with ground station operators and engineers to ensure the integrity and reliability of communication links.
- Anomaly Detection and Resolution: Support the detection, analysis, and resolution of spacecraft anomalies or malfunctions. Collaborate with operations teams to investigate anomalies, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Telemetry Analysis and Monitoring: Assist in the analysis and interpretation of spacecraft telemetry data to assess spacecraft health, performance, and compliance with mission objectives. Monitor telemetry trends, conduct data quality checks, and identify potential issues.
- Operational Procedures Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of operational procedures, checklists, and guidelines. Ensure compliance with established procedures and best practices for spacecraft operations.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse spacecraft data, including telemetry, sensor readings, and payload data, to extract meaningful insights, assess performance, and support mission objectives. Prepare technical reports and presentations summarising operational activities and findings.
Specific Requirements
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field management
- Spacecraft Operations Knowledge: Understanding of spacecraft subsystems, operational concepts, and spacecraft mission phases (launch, commissioning, routine operations). Familiarity with operational procedures, telemetry analysis, and anomaly resolution. Experience with data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar is advantageous.
- Fluent in English and Arabic to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and present technical information. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team goals.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and resolve technical challenges related to spacecraft operations. Ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing operational requirements, work in dynamic environments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to work on a rotational shift basis, as required for spacecraft operations.
- Passion for Space Exploration: Demonstrate interest and passion for space exploration, satellite technology, and spacecraft operations. Involvement in extracurricular activities or personal projects related to space engineering and operations is beneficial.
