About the Role

This is an exciting civilian role where you can utilise your specialist experience to provide Navigation and / or warfare expertise during the development and delivery of training to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).  Working in a small but focussed team, you will enjoy good work-life balance in a contemporary learning environment.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and behaviour
  • Must have successfully completed the RAC Long Navigation coure or Principal Warfare Officer (PWO) Course or International Equivalent
  • Must hold a Platform Endorsement and Bridge Watchkeeping Certificate on any major / minor vessel
  • Proven experience as a Navigation Officer or PWO (minimum 18 months service on a RAN Frigate or Destroyer within the past 5 years)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure
  • Must be flexible around shift rosters
  • Able to gain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance
