About the Role

As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients. You will develop and maintain patient care plans, liaise with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide co-ordinated patient management, provide assessment of patients and co-ordinate outpatient and inpatient treatments.

 

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
  • A current Sexual Health and Family Planning Australia Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health for Nursing or equivalent.
  • 2 years full-time Post Graduate experience within the previous 5 years in sexual and reproductive health setting (or part time equivalent).
  • Authorised PAP Smear Provider (PSP); PSP Credential and Certification of the Credentialed Course for the appropriate State/Territory (note: if a State or Territory does not offer Authorised PSP, Certification of the Well Women’s Screening Certificate through Family planning Australia is required for Pap Test providers).
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience and competency with or without a qualification in venepuncture and cannulation.
  • Current Advance Life Support training/ qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  • Ability to use DeHS and other relevant Commonwealth ICT Systems (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience and competency with or without a qualification in immunisation and vaccination administration (desirable).
  • Knowledge and application of Australasian Triage Scale in a variety of circumstances in both acute clinical and mental health scenarios (desirable).
