First Nations People Careers

Serco Asia Pacific acknowledges the traditional custodians of country throughout Australia and their continuous connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

Our programs

Power to Work

In 2019, Serco was jointly awarded a grant with Indigenous Employment Partners to deliver Power to Work – a two-year social impact pilot. The job-readiness program provides a culturally safe and supported entry to the workforce for once-criminalised Indigenous men and women.

Momentum is a four-year pilot program designed to improve employment outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. Delivered by a consortium including Serco, the pilot will be introduced in northern NSW to remove barriers for Indigenous people to obtain birth registration and certificates, driver’s licenses, training and employment.

First Nations Employment Hub

Launched in 2021, the First Nations Employment Hub is an employment and mentoring scheme for long-term unemployed, new entrants to the workforce and people seeking a new career path.  Over 12 months, Aspirants will work in an entry-level role within Serco while receiving individual mentoring, group training and study opportunities.
