We’re hiring in Lambeth to support busy waste and recycling collections across the borough. With a strong team environment, modern fleet, and early finishes, you’ll play an essential role in keeping one of London’s most vibrant areas clean. Our North Norfolk team is expanding, and we’re looking for dependable HGV Drivers and Loaders to support improved waste and recycling services. You’ll work with new, eco-friendly collection vehicles and well-coordinated crews, helping keep local communities clean while enjoying steady hours, early finishes and a friendly team environment. 

Join our Richmond team and help deliver reliable waste and recycling collections across the borough. You’ll work with modern vehicles, friendly crews, and well-planned routes that keep the area clean and running smoothly. About our roles

The initial recruitment process includes application, online tests, telephone interview and assessment (either face to face or virtual). If successful you'll be required to go through strict security and vetting checks, which will allow you to work in this secure environment. The checks are conducted via the Home Office and can up to six weeks to complete.  

As a driver, you’ll do more than sit behind the wheel. Our drivers are a key part of the crew — you’ll be responsible for driving the collection vehicle safely along your route, but you’ll also work alongside loaders to help with collections when needed. It’s active, physical work and a team effort all the way through.

 

Key duties:

  • Safely operate the refuse or recycling vehicle
  • Assist loaders with collections as needed
  • Perform vehicle checks and keep paperwork up to date
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service to residents
  • Wash down your vehicle at the end of the shift

You’ll need:
  • A valid LGV/HGV Category C licence
  • A Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • A good level of physical fitness
  • A strong work ethic and team spirit
  • A commitment to safety and doing the job properly

As a loader, you’ll be out in the community each day, collecting household refuse, recycling, or food waste. You’ll work outdoors in all weather, lifting and emptying bins, and making sure collections are carried out efficiently and safely. It’s physical, hands-on work — and you’ll be part of a friendly team that takes pride in the job.

Key duties:

  • Collect bins and containers from households and businesses
  • Sort and load waste materials into the correct vehicle compartments
  • Spot and report contamination or collection issues
  • Communicate with residents and support your crew


You’ll need:

  • A good level of physical fitness
  • A strong work ethic and team spirit
  • A commitment to safety and doing the job properly
If you have rotary-wing experience - even if not yet on Wildcat or Merlin - this is a chance to upskill, retrain, and work on next-gen platforms in a supportive, safety-led environment.
