As a Telehealth Nurse, you’ll support Healthdirect by providing health advice and clinical triage over the phone.

You’ll speak with callers across Australia, helping them understand their symptoms and decide what to do next.

This is a structured, work-from-home role where you deliver care in real time. You’ll rely on your clinical judgement, communication skills, and the questions you ask to assess each situation and guide safe outcomes.

What you’ll bring to the role

This role calls for strong clinical experience, sound judgement, and the ability to communicate clearly under pressure.
  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse 
  • At least 3 years of recent clinical experience (acute, ED, primary health, or rural/remote) 
  • Strong clinical judgement and the ability to remain calm under pressure 
  • Confidence using digital systems and telehealth platforms 
  • A private home workspace with reliable internet and mobile reception 
  • Availability to work across a 24/7 service

About Healthdirect and Serco

Sales team help Phenom customers reach their business potential.

Serco works in partnership with Healthdirect, a Government-funded virtual health service that provides Australians with access to health advice and information 24 hours a day.

Together, we support people across the country to understand their symptoms and access the right level of care. As part of this team, you’ll help deliver safe, reliable support to callers when they need it.

You’ll be part of a remote clinical call-centre team working together to support callers across Australia. While you’ll work independently from home, you’ll stay connected to your Team Leader and senior clinicians throughout your shift.
