You’ll work with colleagues based out of our Operations Centre in Sunshine, helping ensure people in custody are moved safely, respectfully and with care across Victoria.

Being a Transport Care & Custody Officer is about working as a team, staying focused and treating people with dignity as they move through custody.

Move people in custody between sites to ensure each person arrives where they need to be.

No security experience?

We’ll train you from day 1, ensuring you're supported for the journey ahead.

What we're looking for

You could be a great fit if you have:
  • A calm, steady approach in fast-moving situations
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Sound judgement and attention to detail
  • Respect for others and a commitment to treating people with dignity
  • The confidence to follow procedures and stay focused under pressure
  • A reliable, responsible mindset and a willingness to learn
You’ll also need:
  • Australian working rights
  • A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence, or the ability to obtain one
  • A current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
  • The ability to pass a National Police Check
  • The ability to complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (training provided)
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications, or willingness to obtain them
  • The physical capability to perform the role safely
