- A calm, steady approach in fast-moving situations
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Sound judgement and attention to detail
- Respect for others and a commitment to treating people with dignity
- The confidence to follow procedures and stay focused under pressure
- A reliable, responsible mindset and a willingness to learn
You’ll also need:
- Australian working rights
- A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence
- A current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
- The ability to pass a National Police Check
- The ability to complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (training provided)
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications, or willingness to obtain them
- The physical capability to perform the role safely
