Job Title: Paddle Sport Instructor

Working Hours: Casual mostly weekends and school holidays

Salary: £8.60 - £11.40 per hour base salary. Up to £15.00 per hour while delivering paddlesports courses.

To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit casual paddle sport instructors to join our outdoor team.

 

Holme Pierrepont Country Park, the home of the National Water Sports Centre has excellent water facilities, accommodation, a campsite, Outdoor Adventure Zone, Gym and marvellous nature trails for cycling and walking, it is a favourite destination for families, schools, corporate clients, and individuals.

 

In this role, you will deliver a variety of activities and sessions across our Lagoon and the River Trent including introduction sessions and river tours. Some candidates may go on deliver introduction to White Water Sessions on the white-water course.

 

You will be responsible for making sure our customers have a safe, enjoyable, and adventurous experience on the water. Upskilling opportunities may be available to effective, driven staff members including British Canoeing Awarding Body courses.

  

About You

 

To be considered for this exciting role you must be available to work weekends and school holidays. Candidates who have previous experience delivering activities or customer service to varied group sizes would be ideal, however we will consider candidates that do not have this experience if you have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and can provide outstanding customer service.

 

Candidates are required to hold a British Canoeing Paddle Sport Instructor / Paddle sport leader certificate or above.

 

Essential skills for this role include being a team player, happy to support colleagues whenever necessary, able to work well under pressure and with a positive outlook and attitude.

 

Due to the nature of activities on offer we do require that any applicants are comfortable working with heights and are confident swimmers due to water based activities. Candidates will also need to comfortable working outdoors in a natural environment.

 

Due to the health and safety of this role you will need to be 18+ to be considered.
