Are you a dynamic and results-driven professional with a passion for providing strategic advice? If so, we want to hear from you! At +impact, we’re seeking Management Consultants with at least two years’ experience to express their interest in joining our team. Please note, by submitting an application for this role, you are consenting to join our talent pool for potential opportunities which may arise for our Managing Consultant vacancies at +impact.

+impact is a specialised advisory business within the Serco Group, dedicated to delivering purpose-driven consulting services with a strong focus on the public sector and regulated industries. As a bespoke offer and internal brand of Serco, +impact operates with the agility and innovation of a start-up while benefiting from the extensive resources, networks, and career opportunities that come with being part of a global organisation. Our mission is to lead projects that address the challenges of where and how we work, as well as how we travel, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with sustainable and socially responsible practices.

The role:

You will work closely with clients across the public sector and regulated industries to analyse business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategic solutions, particularly with a focus on sustainable asset management and operations, skills of the future and operating models and service design. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, conducting research, and delivering recommendations aligned with the client’s ask.

What you’ll do:

  • Client engagement:
    • Serve as the point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Understand client needs and develop tailored consulting solutions.
  • Business analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive analyses of client operations, including process mapping, data analysis, and stakeholder interviews.
    • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Process development:
    • Provide actionable recommendations to improve business performance, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Project management:
    • Lead or support the planning and execution of consulting projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Research and benchmarking:
    • Conduct market research and benchmarking studies to inform client project results.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  • Presentation and reporting:
    • Prepare and deliver presentations suitable for client leadership, summarising findings, and recommendations.
    • Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to track project progress and outcomes.
  • Change management:
    • Assist clients in managing organisational change, including communication strategies, training programmes, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Monitor the implementation of recommendations and adjust approaches as needed.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Critical thinker: You thrive on analysing complex challenges, connecting dots, and devising strategic solutions.
  • Effective communicator: Your ability to articulate ideas succinctly and present findings is unmatched. You’re able to adapt at pace to your audience and genuinely network and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Agile and flexible: You adapt seamlessly to less structured environments, embracing change with enthusiasm. You work at pace and are not fazed by meeting tight deadlines.
  • Curious explorer: Curiosity fuels your passion for uncovering innovative pathways and pushing boundaries. You will take on board different perspectives and points of view and are always looking to open new doors and new adventures.
  • Industry or field experience is a strong plus, as is knowledge of sustainability, ESG, Net Zero policy, and experience with AI in operating model design.

What we offer:

+impact offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and purpose-driven organisation. This role provides significant career development opportunities, both within the +impact team and the broader Serco Group, ensuring your long-term growth and progression.
