Business Development Executive - Customer Services 

Permanent – 37 Hours per week

£19,000 - £25,000 per annum + Benefits


This is a home-based position, however you must be willing to travel to a number of our sites across the UK.


Serco’s Customer Services business leads the way in providing exemplary customer services to a public sector customer base. Trusted by over 30 Government departments and public bodies to deliver customer engagement and complex case management to UK citizens on their behalf, we employ over 12,000 Advisers across our state of the art omni-channel Contact Centres and homeworking through our Serco@Home model.


As part of a small, high-performing team of Capture professionals responsible for delivering the Customer Services’ ambitious growth plan, Serco is seeking a Business Development Executive who will play an important role in the delivery of new business within the Customer Services business.


You will be joining our Customer Services team and will be responsible for organising the business development team in line with the Serco Management System and ensuring that resources are in place across sales, operations and other internal stakeholders. The role will include customer engagement, supporting and reporting on the whole portfolio of pre-sales activity and supporting agreed marketing activities and events.

What you’ll need to do the role

As Bid Executive you will have strong Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) skills, hold experience of delivering projects to tight deadlines and have good attention to detail.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills including relationship development and stakeholder management to a senior level.
