Salary dependent on experience £38,000 - £40,000
 

Serco Defence deliver a range of services and products to our customers and the MOD. Within this team, we are currently recruiting for a TPS77 Radars Engineer based at Brizlee Wood. You will help to maintain the TPS-77 Radar at Brizlee Wood radar ensuring that KPI targets, quality compliance, safety, continuous improvement and other contractual obligations are met at site.

Main Accountabilities:

• Deliver 1st/ 2nd line Preventative maintenance on the TPS-77 Radar Systems 
• Deliver 1st/  3rd line Corrective maintenance on the TPS-77 Radar Systems 
• Responsible for quality compliance, safety, continuous improvement and other contractual obligations are met with regards to the TPS-77 systems.
• Engaging with the relevant internal and external organisations and key stakeholders in order to build and maintain Serco’s reputation.
• Provide out of hours call out to support radar availability when required
• Maintain and review radar technical manuals
• Maintain and manage all tools and test equipment required to support TPS-77 system. 
• Support the Site Technical Manger to maximise the overall system availability
• Spares management of the Brizlee Wood inventory
• Provide a site support to Lockheed Martin when required
• There will be a requirement to do a 2 month tour in the Falkland Islands every 18 – 24 months
• There may be a requirement to backfill other radar technicians at  sites around the UK

  
What you’ll need to do the role:

• Holds recognised Electronics and electrical Qualification.
• At least 2 years TPS-77 radar experience
• Proven track record in maintaining the TPS-77 radar. 
• Understanding RAF processes 
• Proven track record of successful maintaining radar systems.
• Proven practical and pragmatic understanding of service delivery
