VIVO are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to support the Projects Team at VIVO's Built Estate contracts.
This role will see you work on a variety of projects ranging in value up to £10million across Construction and Facilities Management.
As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for helping to estimate costs, quantities and project timelines and providing business support to the Projects Team. This will include facilitating the working relationship between the team and internal and external customers, ensuring the completion of project reports and documentation, build controls and milestones into plans and programmes, identify business priorities and opportunities for improvements and provide cost advice and support to the Billable Works Team.
In addition to this, you will liaise with the Senior Leadership team to report on progress of projects, attend Risk Meetings, ensure compliance across Health and Safety, Sustainability, Quality and other statutory requirements, as well as support change initiatives and identify alternative solutions.
You will mainly be working on maintenance, refit and refurb projects.
The role will require you to be visible across sites in the North region, and as such, it would be ideal if candidates are based near Catterick in North Yorkshire. The region will cover Newcastle to Lincoln.
What You Need To Do The Job:
First and foremost, you must hold a HND/Foundation Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying and appropriate experience within the Construction and/or Commercial Property Maintenance industry.
In addition to this, you should have experience of developing cost models, risk analysis and management, preparation of proposals and tenders and dispute resolution.
Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
This role will involve working across 10-15 projects at any one time, in either construction or FM, so it is essential that you are able to manage a large workload.
Due to the vetting requirements on this contract we can only accept applications from candidates who are able to pass SC Clearance.
