This is an exciting opportunity in which you will manage the delivery of multiple Projects (concept-design-pricing-delivery-handover) for a programme of Billable Works (Projects), ensuring a high-quality output and that all works are delivered on time and within budget, deliver support to customers with technical, professional and specialist knowledge with minimal supervision and use clear communication to deliver technical solutions to customer and client and reflect the VIVO values.

 

This role will cover sites from Midlands to South, although at times, you will be required to cover sites towards the north (Lincs) as the business demands.

 

This role will see you oversee the delivery of Billable Works (projects) in accordance with Government Regulatory and Statutory undertakings, complying with all Health & Safety and Environmental standards and policies, monitor contractors to ensure suitably qualified and experienced operatives are directed to relevant tasks to achieve safe working, timely delivery and required quality and all performance indicators are consistently achieved and ensure all works are delivered to the relevant H&S standards/rules.

 

You will also review Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure they are to an acceptable standard, confer with DIO/MOD stakeholders to agree the requirement, manage the design and scope process to provide a tender package, work with the Vivo commercial team to manage the tender process, review and evaluate technical proposals, provide a customer price that is VFM, support end users and management in providing optimal solutions to customer requirements to resolve end user issues, and ensure appropriate work plans and budgets are in place to achieve programmes and financial commitments, whilst meeting the changing operational need.

 

Managing cost and stakeholder expectations through excellent communication and sound commercial decisions to ensure value for money will be an important aspect of this position, as well as working with all stakeholders to support the management and mitigation of contract risk.

 

We use Maximo to progress tasks end to end and Sharepoint  to upload all documentation relating to Billable Works.

 

What You Need To Do The Job:

 

First and foremost, you should be an experienced Project Manager with a Billable Works (refits/refurbs) background, with experience of managing low value, high volume projects, and a qualification in Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

 

You should have experience of managing contractors, costs, planning, directing and controlling activities, proactive performance management, and excellent stakeholder management skills.

 

You must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing and able to undertake National travel as the business demands.

 

To be considered for this position you must be able to pass SC Clearance.
