Roofer's Mate | Aldershot

Contract Type:  Full Time, Permanent

Location: Aldershot (and surrounding sites), GU11 2AA

Working Hours:  40 hours a week, Monday to Friday (Weekend work as required)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Roofer's mate to successfully deliver the day-to-day repairs service, to the MOD you will provide front line delivery to the MOD family’s, assisting the carrying out of technical service tasks at the highest quality. Working with a Roofer you will assist with carrying out repairs to a variety of building services, including minor roofing works, building work and grounds work. 

As part of this role you will:

• Be involved with refurbishment, planned and reactive maintenance.
• Work with minimal supervision and have the ability to make decisions on the most appropriate repair solution.  
• Complete and finalise projects to a high standard and have the ability to self-snag works on completion
• Installs Gutters downpipes, roof works, felting works and minor groundworks to work at heights, undertaking pointing
• Cut openings in structure to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools
• Attend team briefs, Toolbox talks and technical bulletins on a monthly bases or as when required.
• Utilise both electronic and paper-based systems to accurately record documentation including the use of materials against each job.
• Be flexible and willing to work shift patterns to cover the appointments

What you’ll need to do this role:

Previous experience in roofing works

Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions  

Ability to work in all weathers

Ability to use hand tools
