Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Location: RAF Alconbury/Molesworth 
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00AM - 4:30PM). 
Salary: £39,000 to £42,000 dependent on experience and qualifications

 

Within VIVO we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to undertake planned maintenance, remedial and reactive repairs on domestic, commercial and industrial buildings on RAF Alconbury and the surrounding area.

 

Working as part of an engineering team of 20, you will be working both alone and in a team to undertake works on a mix of domestic, commercial and industrial buildings. Tasks will be assigned to your PDA then you will self-schedule your work, ensuring they are completed to a high quality and within the set time scales provided.

 

Examples of work tasks you may be required to undertake include replacing light switches, replacing MCBs, lighting tests and replacing lamps and fittings, along with any other trade tasks that may be required including assisting the wider engineering team with any ad hoc work. Any works will require being logged and any relative documents be completed with accurate detailed notes. You will also be required to do minor installation works and testing.

 

This role will see you carry out reactive repairs / callouts on mission critical assets in a timely manner, this will involve participating in an on-call rota to cover emergency call outs during non-core hours.

What you'll need to do this role

 

It is essential that you have a C&G Parts 1 and 2 Electrical Installation or equivalent and hold an 18th edition with amendment 2. This role will include travel within multiple locations so you must hold a full, clean UK driving licence. A company van will be provided for business use. You will also need previous experience of electrical maintenance and repairs in a domestic, commercial and industrial background. It is also essential that you have undertaken Fixed Wire Inspections in the past.

 

It is desirable that you have a C&G 2391 in testing and inspection and is also desirable that you have previous AP/AE experience and qualifications and PASMA and IPAF would be advantageous. It is ideal that you have experience of operating within either an MOD or Construction/Property Maintenance environment.

 

You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
