Job Title: Interventions Facilitator
Location: HMP Dovegate, Uttoxeter
Salary: £26,444 per annum + Serco benefits
Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

HMP Dovegate is a Category B male prison located on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border near Uttoxeter. With an operational capacity of 1,100 prisoners, it takes a committed, compassionate, and skilled team to maintain a safe and rehabilitative environment.

We're currently looking for a dedicated Interventions Facilitator to join our team. In this role, you’ll work directly with men at high risk of reoffending, delivering accredited psychological intervention programmes in a structured, professional setting.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deliver high-quality intervention sessions to a trained standard.
  • Conduct pre- and post-session work including thorough, non-judgmental session debriefs and Post Programme Reports within agreed timelines.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for participants.
  • Carry out key administrative duties, such as managing referrals, maintaining waiting lists, preparing session materials, and liaising with staff and external agencies.
  • Contribute to sentence planning and parole processes.
  • Work collaboratively with psychologists and other professionals to support individuals’ progress.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend regular supervision with the Treatment Manager.
  • Assess individuals and recommend appropriate programmes.
  • Complete motivational work with prisoners before programme start.
  • Prepare session objectives and follow-up support as needed.
  • Record progress and outcomes clearly and professionally.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • A background in retail, customer service, or any face-to-face role is welcomed.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to actively listen.
  • Empathy, professionalism, and the ability to work in a challenging environment.
  • Confidence with administrative tasks and a proactive, organised approach.
  • Relevant experience in the areas noted above and/or a degree in Psychology.

 

 

Full training will be provided.
