Recruitment Marketing Executive
Hybrid - Solihull
Full-Time, Permanent (Flexible Working)
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus benefits
As a Recruitment Marketing Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in attracting top talent by designing inspiring creative content and executing marketing campaigns that position Serco as an employer of choice.
We’re looking for someone with a strong creative flair and brilliant copywriting skills, capable of producing attention-grabbing content that resonates with diverse audiences. Your ability to create engaging content — particularly short-form video for social media — will be integral to amplifying our presence and driving candidate engagement.
You’ll collaborate with Talent Acquisition, stakeholders, and our recruitment marketing agency to ensure our employer brand is communicated effectively across digital and traditional channels. From crafting compelling stories that bring our roles to life, to maintaining our brand-new careers site, your work will directly influence our ability to recruit the right people, for the right roles, at the right time.
As a proactive forward-thinker, you’ll identify and capitalise on new opportunities to make a positive impact on our recruitment efforts — whether that’s tackling hard-to-fill roles, supporting high-volume campaigns, or exploring innovative ways to engage our audiences.
At Serco, we operate across a wide range of sectors, which means your creative input will support a fascinating variety of roles — from Prison Officers and Psychologists to Aircraft Engineers and Swimming Instructors!
What you’ll do:
- Content creation: Develop engaging, candidate-orientated content (e.g. social media posts, videos, employee testimonials, flyers) to attract and inform potential candidates about our culture, values, and job opportunities. You’ll use AI to drive efficiency and generate new ideas, while applying human intelligence to keep our content on point!
- Social media management: Execute social media strategies (predominantly LinkedIn) and other platforms to increase engagement with target talent pools.
- Employer branding: Assist in maintaining a consistent employer brand across all candidate touchpoints, ensuring it aligns with company values and culture.
- Campaign execution: Launch and monitor both tactical executions and strategic campaigns (multi-channel) to drive traffic to the careers site and specific job openings.
- Career site management: Ensure our careers site is up-to-date, user-friendly, and engaging, taking a strategic and methodical approach. You’ll have direct access to our CMS and may also work with other internal marketing colleagues for specific initiatives.
- Events coordination: At times you may support with coordinating events, such as UK Careers Fairs or veteran recruitment events, as well as merchandise re-orders.
- Data analysis: Track and report on the performance of recruitment marketing campaigns and suggest optimisations based on insights.
Does this sound like you?
We’re looking for someone with a passion for marketing! Not content with settling for the status quo, you’ll have an appetite for staying on top of the latest trends in marketing, using data, and finding new and better ways of doing things. You’ll also have:
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, recruitment marketing or employer branding
- Demonstrable experience of successfully owning, planning and executing multi-channel recruitment marketing campaigns and/or employer branding initiatives, including PPC campaigns
- Strong creative skills across both written content and design, including short-form video content creation
- Experience writing engaging copy across different channels including web and social – you’ll be creative with a keen eye for detail, particularly when it comes to spelling, grammar and design
- A good understanding of digital marketing, social media and marketing trends
- Experience using analytics tools, e.g. Google Analytics, and data to track performance and return on investment
- Great project management, prioritisation and strategic thinking skills – you’ll have experience managing a busy workload and flexing between a variety of different projects, stakeholders and deadlines, sometimes delivering in short timescales
- Desirable: Relevant qualifications in Marketing. This could be anything from a degree to Google Skillshop or CIM certifications – what matters most is that we can see your commitment to growing your knowledge and dedication to implementing best practise to improve candidate attraction.
- Desirable: Experience using Hootsuite or a similar social media scheduling platform
- Desirable: Experience working with job sites such as Indeed.com
We’re big on development and keen to find someone who brings energy and enthusiasm to the team, so if you think you tick most of these boxes, we’d love to hear from you. And if you have any areas you’d like to improve, let us know and we’ll be there to help you gain new skills and hit new goals.
Flexible working and travel: You'll typically need to travel to our Solihull office 1-2 times a month to collaborate in person with our Recruitment Marketing Manager and the wider Talent Acquisition team. There will also be team events and site visits, giving you a chance to see our projects up close. We work across various sectors and locations, so these visits will help you get a real feel for our work and build connections too!
