Working Hours: 40 hours per week to cover a mixture of early, late & weekend shifts
Salary: £31,000.00 per annum + Excellent Benefits
Here at Oxford Community Leisure Trust our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit a Café Supervisor to join our Leys & Ice Rink leisure centre's.
Your role will involve working within the catering team to achieve high standards of service and customer care at all times. You will ensure that all food is hygienically prepared and served in accordance with standards.
As part of this you will be leading a team to prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with our cafe menus along with managing the replenishment of displays and vending machines. You will ensure that all of the cafe assistants have completed their financial and cash handling training and are complying with company procedures and standards. We have a high standard of hygiene within our facilities and our cafe employees will lead by example ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times.
You won’t be working alone, as our leisure centre has a close knit and supportive team, all working towards providing an inclusive leisure hub for the entire community. Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust
What you'll need to do the role
First and foremost it’s desirable that you hold a Level 2 award in Food Safety in Catering or equivalent.
Previous supervisory experience is desirable and you will be able to demonstrate excellent customer care skills through examples of working within a food retail operation or service led organisation.
