Mobile Cleaner

Salary: £23,737.50 per annum plus Serco benefits
Working hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 0900 – 1700 hours.
A driving licence is essential for the role of Mobile Cleaner.
Here in the Serco recruitment team, we’re responsible for hiring people that deliver essential public services in Defence, Transport, Justice & Immigration, Citizen Services and Healthcare.
Main Accountabilities:
- To complete all cleans identified, to a compliant standard, within the timescale given.
- To report all completed cleans to Line Manager/update on AORA system.
- To ensure the safety of all Service Users of the property whilst cleaning at a property.
- To notify the Maintenance Administration Department if any defects are found that could affect the safety of the Service User’s residing at the property.
- To check all relevant property reports before undertaking works in the properties (e.g. asbestos, dangerous persons).
- To clean carpets where required using appropriate equipment & PPE as provided.
- Focusing on a ‘one team’ approach assisting other geographical areas when required.
- Completion of mandatory training to fulfil role responsibilities.
As the Cleaner you will be responsible for Material Management, ensuring to only purchase materials from approved Serco suppliers and keep receipts for all transactions to identify and record what materials are used for each job / property. Where specified only purchase the agreed Serco standard materials unless alternative substitutions can be provide due to stock requirements. You will replenish the stock inventory when required and update line manager and AORA. Lastly, you will remove appropriate waste from properties when in attendance and ensure the waste is disposed of in approved license areas and re-cycled where possible.
What you need to do the job
- You need to have a willingness and ability to travel within the region and occasionally within the UK (a valid driver’s licence is required).
- You need good Verbal/Written communication skills (English). You need to be competent using IT.
- You should have previous experience of working as part of a team as well as working individually/lone working.
- Previous experience of cleaning households / large accommodation is desired.
