As +impact by Serco continues to scale as a challenger advisory business across the public and regulated sectors, we are seeking a Senior Bid Solutions Manager to lead proactive pursuit strategies, PQQs, framework bids, and tender responses. You will play a pivotal role in securing strategic opportunities that underpin +impact’s growth, ensuring high-quality, operationally grounded proposals aligned with our “different because we do” philosophy.
This role will have a global remit and you will work closely with regional Bid, Commercial and Delivery teams, ensuring a coordinated, high impact bid function that contributes to +impact’s ambitious growth plans.
We’re looking for a seasoned, strategic thinker with the tools — and tenacity — to lead in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You’ll be adaptable with a willingness to get stuck in and support other areas as required.
As part of this you’ll:
- Own the full bid lifecycle, from early qualification to submission and handover.
- Lead bid strategy development and support with pipeline tracking aligned with our growth goals.
- Shape unique, operationally sound, and commercially viable solutions in collaboration with SMEs and delivery leads.
- Write and edit high-impact content that reflects our brand ethos: clear, credible, action-oriented.
- Drive best-practice bid governance, project management, and submission compliance.
- Build and nurture a high-performing team of Bid Executives and Writers.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- A strong track record of winning complex bids (£1m+ value) in advisory, consulting, or professional services.
- Proven ability to design and communicate differentiated solutions aligned to client needs.
- Exceptional writing and editorial skills — persuasive, polished, and people-focused.
- High-level of commercial awareness and pricing acumen.
- Strong project and team management skills, with experience leading through ambiguity.
- A global mindset and cultural agility.
- Fluency in bid tools, document control, and smart tech (AI writing tools a big plus).
