Flexible shifts between 0730 and 1500 (across Monday to Sunday) 

Pay Rate £9.90 per hour 

 

Serco NorthLink Ferries is an organisation with a strong reputation in both passenger and freight transport between the Northern Isles and mainland Scotland and we have a number of great opportunities for Cleaning Operatives to join our team in Lerwick, Shetland. 

 

NorthLink Ferries sail daily from Aberdeen to Lerwick with frequent calls at Kirkwall, and from Scrabster on the north coast of Scotland to Stromness in Orkney. Our ferries operate 363 days per year providing the lifeline service to the Northern Isles, with islanders, visitors, goods and supplies all travelling by NorthLink Ferries.

 

The Cleaning Operative will provide a high standard of service to the customer, specifically to ensure a high level of cleanliness of the vessels, terminal buildings and other port facilities at all times. Principal duties will include cleaning the vessel, dealing with lost property, making up cabins and beds, and ensuring defects found within the vessel are reported.

 

What you'll need

You will need to live within the local catchment area and be committed to working flexible variable hours. You will need strong customer service and communication skills, and be able to understand and follow oral and/or written instructions.
