Treasury Clerk

Leicester – hybrid, 3 days office, 2 days WFH
Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week
Between £24,000-£27,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
Here at Serco, we are recruiting for a Treasury Clerk who will be responsible for providing timely and accurate bank reconciliations for a number of the company’s bank accounts for month and year end purposes. You will look to investigate and handle any queries arising from the sites, Management accounts or third parties (i.e. Loomis, Barclaycard and Nayax).
As part of this you will:
- Assist in the reconciliation of 20 bank accounts, of which 15 will be monthly
- Liaising with various members of the finance teams and the bank
- Download daily payment’s transaction reports for the AR Team and monthly bank statements from Bank-Line
- Enter interest and bank charges journals
- Update bank balances spreadsheet
- Allocate the payments received by Cheques and BACS onto Customers Accounts
- Download and split into categories the movement in the cash to assist in cash flow forecasting for four statutory bank accounts
- Managing service requirements for our sites, where transaction handling is concerned.
- Sending paying in books to the sites and any ad-hoc duties to include assisting in the Accounts Receivable team.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Good IT and numerical skills.
- Attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy.
- Strong communicator, self-motivated and good organisation skills
- It’s desirable that you have previous experience in a Sales/Purchase/Treasury Clerk role, however we will still consider candidates that have a genuine interest or just starting out your career in this sector.
