Band 3 / £45,000 - £60,000 

 

Here at Serco, we have a 12-month fixed term opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to take the reins and deliver large-scale, business-critical projects from end to end – whether standalone or as part of a wider programme. From Business Change to mobilisation and service transitions, you’ll be at the heart of shaping services across Serco’s UK&E division.
 

As part of this you’ll:

 

  • Lead the delivery of full lifecycle projects in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Manage multi-disciplinary project teams to meet objectives on time, within scope and budget
  • Create and maintain robust business cases, plans, budgets, and governance structures
  • Actively manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and driving timely escalation
  • Ensure compliance with governance and assurance processes across the delivery lifecycle
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and work collaboratively with the SRO and governance bodies
  • Embed lessons learned and continuous improvement practices into project delivery
     


What you’ll need to do the role:  

 

  • Demonstrable experience delivering Tier 1 or Tier 2 projects across complex business environments
  • Proven track record in Business Change, mobilisation or transition projects, ideally within outsourcing or public services
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Deep understanding of project and programme methodologies (PRINCE2, APM, PMI or similar)
  • Familiarity with governance, assurance, and project controls frameworks
  • Advanced MS Office skills including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
