Serco have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Document Controller to join our team based in RNAS Culdrose. This role will be part of the Integrated Merlin Operational Support contract in the Air Engineering Writer team with the Supervisors and Senior Supervisors supporting on all matters for contractual delivery at the site.
Main Accountabilities:
- Ensuring aircraft electronic structural information and supporting documentation is complete and accurate to ensure administrative integrity and airworthiness is maintained.
- Supporting the aircraft receipt process by liaison with the despatching unit for documentation checks. Gold Enterprise Service Platform (GOLDesp) reports and for correct content against MOD F743 and MOD F743A and for ensuring the aircraft receipt log is maintained.
- Supporting the aircraft despatch process ensuring MOD F700C contents are to the latest MOD F799/1 instruction and the MOD F700A is correct and for generating aircraft despatch notifications whilst ensuring a despatch log is maintained.
- Generating and submitting aircraft weight and moment concession requests as required.
- Acting as point of contact for dissemination of relevant Technical Instructions as issued by the DT.
- Supporting the generation of “Request Category” requests as directed by customer Line Management.
- The collection and storage of component change proformas.
- The receipt and dissemination of “Signals” and for maintaining a signal log.
- Promoting the Maintenance Error Management System (MEMS) and encourage the reporting of incidents and near misses.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Previous aircraft engineering and a thorough and good working knowledge of the following:
- Merlin Aircraft Engineering and Aircraft Systems
- Naval Air Publications and Compound – Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (C-IETP).
- Health and Safety, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, Tool Control and Quality Practices.
- Engineering and Asset Management Systems.
- Completed or be able to complete a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
- Have a thorough understanding of rotary wing military (aviation) procedures.
- An understanding and proven experience of Airworthiness Engineering Safety and Compliance iaw Regulatory and Legislative requirements (MAA).
- Excellent leadership and people management experience.
- An excellent capability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining operational outputs.
