Your Opportunity

 

We are looking for a Programme/ Project Director who will be responsible for the delivery of a high-profile programme. It will include the management of Serco’s team who will be responsible for but not limited to procurement and management of outsourced consultants as well as Operations & Maintenance contractors from a technical, facilities management, asset management, project management, commercial management, risk management and HSQE perspective with focus on knowledge transfer.

Your key purpose will be the development, planning and implementation of project strategies across a multi-tiered programme as well as the management of a large multi-functional team (118 professionals) which will require an in-depth understanding of operational delivery as well as vision to convert a concept of operations to a tangible outcome.

 

The ideal candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be extremely detail oriented and have practical and previous work experience in KSA and working with Public Sectors.

This role will be based in Riyadh.

 

Key accountabilities

  • Delivering of large- scale projects by managing the project teams, assessing engagement risks, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
  • Designing, developing, and implementing strategic and operational initiatives for our clients
  • Working with the client and the delivery team across a range of disciplines to deliver high quality outputs against the contractual requirements.
  • Create innovative solutions, adapting methods and practices to consistently drive high-quality outcomes for our successful delivery.
  • Help structure and manage complex work streams and/or entire engagements
  • Developing a programme or project management framework to guide and integrate the workstreams as part of a holistic Facilities & Asset Management Plans
  • Preparing programme briefs, project management plans and project initiation documents or equivalent and business case among other documents to be delivered to the client
  • Securing resources and expertise from the client organisation as required
  • Co-ordinating and directing end user input as well as value management strategy
  • Determining and managing risks to the programme as well as the budget, including risk allowance
  • Defining criteria for control and management of the programme or project as well as for the outsourced consultants and O&M Contractors in which Serco will act as a managing agent on behalf of the Client.
  • Establishing a mechanism to ensure regular dialogue with the client and the delivery team to promote problem solving, teamwork and risk
  • Independently makes decisions that have a major impact on key results, contributing to the advancement of Serco business.
  • Develops and manages relationships across a broad sphere of influence. Interacts with senior leaders on a regular basis to understand needs, address issues, and manage expectations.
  • Assists in the creation of, and continually reviews, the status of key business strategy roadmaps
  • Establish and track Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]. Proactively identifies avenues for continuous improvement for services across the company, including new approaches and processes that would contribute to both improvements within department and to business growth/efficiency in the wider organization.
  • Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of business and technology; remains current with emerging industry trends and envisions new capabilities to meet business needs.

Specific requirements

The candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field is mandatory
  • A PMP certificate is mandatory
  • 20 years minimum experience of diverse and progressive management and consultancy experience
  • 10 years minimum delivery leadership experience
  • 7 years minimum people management experience
  • Building and leading global teams
  • Project and Portfolio Management
  • Developing strategy and driving strategy execution
  • Change management experience

 

Knowledge:

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Financial acumen
  • General business knowledge
  • Analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Associates at all levels within the organization
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio
