Your Opportunity  

We are looking for a Senior Analyst to provide expert financial modelling in the bidding environment, including analysis and proposals to enhance / improve the modelling process, templates and approach.

 

The role involves working within the Finance and Bid team to provide dedicated, high quality financial bid resource across all Business Units within the division. Day to day this means working with bids teams to develop robust cost, price and performance models to support the bidding activity across all Business Units in Serco Middle East that satisfy internal governance requirements and allows flexibility to determine the optimal pricing to customers alongside our proposed technical solution for outsourced Contract.

 

The ideal candidate should have thoroughness and attention to detail with a steadiness under pressure as well as strong communication skills to work with a range of people across the business.

 

This role is part of the finance team and will be based in our corporate office in Dubai.  

Key Accountabilities 

  • Development / modification of dynamic and accurate excel-based cost models and financial statements (P&L accounts balance sheet, cash flow, financial metrics) for bids / tenders
  • Lead bid teams to prepare detailed scenario analysis for bids and input into strategy for customer negotiations on price
  • Recommending enhancements to the current Bid Modelling process. Assist in developing and implementing financial modelling best practice across SME Growth and Financials
  • Support governance process through delivering robust financial outputs and price risk analyses to facilitate effective decision making with a focus on margin protection and cash optimisation
  • Ensure records of deliverables to customers and for internal governance are maintained in a structured and timely manner
  • Play a role in ensuring compliance across SME with Serco Group policy and standards
    relating to financial modelling
  • Assist in analysing past bids, in order to support and enhance competitiveness across emerging commercial propositions across the business
  • Develop dynamic excel based/ Power BI based dashboards to be used on a recurring basis for analysing Financial/Operational Business Performance by working with the Finance Team

 

Specific Requirements 

  • Expert financial modelling ability (financial modelling work experience of 5 years or more)/ aptitude to develop expert bid financial modelling ability
  • Experience in PPP models 
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in VBA macros / Power BI
  • Relevant professional financial qualification (or equivalent combination of relevant alternative professional qualification and relevant financial experience)
  • Have experience in development / modification of dynamic and accurate excel-based cost models and financial statements (P&L accounts balance sheet, cash flow, financial metrics)
